Marc Goodchild

Head of Interactive and On-Demand for BBC Children's Marc Goodchild

Marc Goodchild is currently Head of Interactive and On-Demand for BBC Children's, responsible for Cbeebies and CBBC content across all interactive media. He oversees a portfolio that includes mobile, iTV and the web which attract around two million unique users every week. The Cbeebies and CBBC websites are among some of the most popular in the BBC's current portfolio.

Marc has also just overseen the delivery and launch of two child-friendly versions of the BBC iplayer and is a leading exponent for child-safe services for under 13s across the industry.
Prior to working at BBC Children's, Marc was in the BBC's factual department where he developed and produced many of the key cross-platform "360" initiatives from the Climate Change Experiment, to How to Sleep Better.

He set up BBC factual's award winning interactive TV unit in 2001 which pioneered red button factual multiscreen services, interactive narrative and game applications and secure vote systems across multiple genres from Live 8 to Great Britons, the Chelsea Flower Show and Walking With Beasts.

He has numerous awards to his name from Bimas to NMA awards, a Grierson and a Bafta and has a long list of linear credits as a documentary maker and Executive Producer in the BBC Science department.
